A wonderful beginning…

Because I know they’ll be wondering… I just wanted to let the lovely bride and groom know that I took a squillion photographs and a great many of them look pretty darn good.  I’m very pleased, and I think you will be, too.  But I’m not ready to show you any just yet!

What a day!  I’m exhausted.  But it was lovely, because I was able to take my time with each picture, stop and adjust the aperture where necessary, take a few practice shots to check the position of the sunlight… it really was the best possible First Wedding experience.  The bride was especially patient with me, which was exceedingly generous of her.

And I learned a LOT.  First lesson?  Relax.  Second lesson?  Breathe.

Thank you, and both of your families, for allowing me to be your wedding photographer.  What a wonderful honour, and a great opportunity.  And… Congratulations!

ooh, i know you probably won’t put any/many pics up, but i’m dying to see them because i think the secret bride and groom are my friends and as i’m all the way on the other side of the world i missed out on the fun! (i know your lovely friend kate, she’s the sister-in-law (ish) of my friend, through whom i met the bride & groom, how very canberra!)

i’m sure you did a fabulous job, you photos are always wonderful, and i’m sure the whole thing was gorgeous, they are such a beautiful couple in every sense.

    all the best!

@ Catherine – I’m just trying to decide which ones to post as a sneak-peak :-) Come back in a day or so and there should be something to see. And yes, it’s two degrees of separation here in Canberra!

Thanks for the feedback on my pictures. Much appreciated!

UPDATE – I just posted one then. I hope you like it!
