Video of the storm last night
Electrical Storm in Canberra 29 Nov 2011
I’ve never uploaded a video to my blog before so I have no idea if this is going to work or not. I held my iPhone up to the window and just hit ‘record’, hoping to get a few good, bright flashes. Yeah, I got a few. It wasn’t hard.
Here’s the radar image from 10.40pm last night; the storm lasted until about 2am. I know, because I was wide awake, writing my First Crappy Draft. 1500 words to go! Whoot!
Cool! We had a couple of storms like that this year. The weather is getting more and more extreme. Apparently, we are in for a very wild and crazy winter, which means major storms one day and warm and sunny the next. I’ll have to try the video thing if we get a good one.
Pat – those wires are the fairy lights above the patio. And the voice is mine – Ella was fast asleep!
Glad the video worked. I might try that again sometime.
Where were you standing – the glimpses thru the wires make it look like you’re shooting thru barbed wire – very effective!!Is the voice Ella??
